Where are you going and what are you doing for this year’s holiday? This is the time of year that many people will book their summer holidays. The chaos of the festive season is over, yet here in the UK the short days and often dreary weather can make us all long for warm climes. Everyone has their own idea of what constitutes a decent holiday. From romantic rural retreats to cottages for family holidays, or holidays by the coast and beachside cottages. People tend to choose according to their group size, range of ages and interests. In recent years there’s been an increase in people renting villas for large groups, whether groups of friends or multi generational family holidays.

And there’s a lot to be said for these large group holiday homes, not least that they tend to work out as exceptionally good value when you divide the seemingly large sum by the amount of guests. Aside from there often being a cost benefit, the more people you have, the more cooks, babysitters, playmates, drinking partners and suncream applicators you have.
