This spa town is a pleasure to visit with picturesque lake, 30 natural springs, Rock park, pavilion and range of events, shops and eateries to enjoy alongside the National Cycle Museum and Radnorshire Museum, not forgetting its renowned golf club. Explore the spectacular dams and reservoirs of the Elan and Claerwen Valleys, visit the Red Kite Feeding Station at Gigrin Farm, head to the internationally renowned Hergest Croft Gardens, go book hunting in Hay on Wye or take the Old Mountain Road to Aberystwyth. Set in breath taking countryside full of footpaths, cycle routes and bridleways to explore and enjoy walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, wildlife watching, photography, arts, crafts, music and events. A perfect spot for two to unwind or seek adventure in Mid Wales. Down the curved wooden boardwalk, sided by wildflowers and plants, you enter this cedar clad lodge and will be drawn to the stunning views through the bi fold doors opening on to an inviting private deck .The spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner is beautifully furnished with tables and beams made from locally grown Douglas Fir and Ash. Comfort is considered a priority with all the thoughtful little extras for year round comfort such as the underfloor heating and the cosy wood burner. The kitchen area is well equipped with gas oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment. If you decide to have a romantic meal in, the table is perfectly positioned to embrace the fabulous view. Snuggle up and relax on the comfortable sofa watch the wildlife or a film, plan your activities for tomorrow or enjoy a good book. The sumptuous bedroom has a super king size hand crafted bed and a luxury en suite spring fed, filtered shower with WC and soft towels. Luxurious eco friendly toiletries including shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided which are friendly to the bio digestive system on site. This special property is a truly romantic retreat. Outside the garden is naturally designed with wild flowers, grassy mounds and is surrounded by rolling countryside and wildlife. The patio deck, with table and chairs, is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, enjoy alfresco dining or head to the private raised seating area by the fire pit to watch the wildlife or appreciate the dark skies stargazing. If you are keen on cycling or golf there is a secure bicycle store with wash down facilities, washing machine and drying facilities for wet boots and clothes. You can also find an "enclosed" area in the garden for the dogs. Private drive with off road parking for one car. The lodge is set in two acres of grounds and maintains its own privacy, adjacent to the owners seven acre home and stables.
