Interior Details

Casa del Rio Retreat is a charming converted historic Posada ( Village Inn ) offering a total of eight spacious double rooms each with a private bathroom.  The house has three floors – the top floor has five bedrooms , all rooms have either king or super king double beds . which can be prepared as twin rooms on request .  There is a lovely top floor terrace overlooking the pool and gardens below.  The ground floor ( street level ) is all for communal living. Large open plan salon & bar  and dining room , professionally fitted kitchen , Tv room and access to the swimming pool which is located in a traditional style Andalucian Courtyard . Large double doors to the street, make it easy for cyclists to bring in their bikes to a secure environment ! ). Casa del Rio has a principal house with five bedrooms and the separate annex, which is located on the lower ground floor by the river, has three bedrooms. The 3 ‘bridge’ rooms in the annexe are accessed by walking over a little wooden bridge that spans the ancient water channel.   Two of the rooms are interconnected by a small hallway, making them ideal as a family suite . The third room has an independent access from the garden . Communal areas including a living room, reading room (with television) and spacious, well equipped kitchen.

Exterior Details
The chances are that you’ll spend much of your time outside in the beautiful grounds.  There is an ancient water channel from the original Mill House which runs through the grounds.  You’ll find many a private little corner where you can read a book or simply watch the river.  Riverside gardens and several charming terraces.  There is a courtyard swimming pool with sunbeds and a shady dining area, a Moroccan themed roof terrace and a BBQ terrace which is a great place for an al fresco meal overlooking the river.

Conditions of Rental
A daily cleaning service is available on request.  Check in from 4pm, check out by midday.  Refundable damage deposit payable. There are various catering options available too - breakfast baskets, 3 course evening meals, and afternoon teas.  You can also order a starter pack of basics for your arrival, or for us to stock the bar for you before your arrival.  Min stay 3 nights (5 nights in July and August). House Manager Sarah, lives in the village, close to Casa del Rio. She speaks Spanish & English,  and is always there to lend a helping hand. Sarah can organise guided walks, tours, excursions , babysitting, airport transfers and much more.  There is a gardener who visits every other day to maintain the pool and look after the garden and plants.  Additional cleaning services available on request.
